We drove the Alpine Loop last week to see all the pretty fall colors. Unfortunately, there is still quite a bit of change to come. However, when we made it to Sundance, it was gorgeous and so colorful! We were glad to end our drive by actually seeing the colorful leaves we were expecting. We got out and took some pictures (though I don’t know why our pictures are of us and not the pretty leaves). Oh well. It was still a fun and pretty drive!

Andrew and James walking along…

Cute James running. He’s always running.

I’m a little late in posting about this and wasn’t going to bother but, since there are such cute pictures of James, I couldn’t resist. So we went to the zoo about a month ago with some of Andrew’s family to celebrate dad Hegerhorst’s birthday. It was fun! James really got excited about the animals…even more than I expected. It was funny to see him attempt to climb over the fence to get a closer look at the bears and elephants; he, who is terrified of the vacuum, really wanted to play with them. The bears do seem really sweet and fun to play with when they are securely (we hope securely) locked up. I don’t blame him.

James loved the elephants, rhinos, and bears the most.

James eating animal crackers at the zoo–very fitting

James riding a merry-go-round for the first time.

Andrew and James with the oh-so-exciting camels. We didn’t really care for the camels…it was just the last animal we saw, and I wanted a picture of them together. Too bad James is looking away.
