Happy Love Day!
icon1 admin | icon2 Anniversary, Holiday | icon4 02 18th, 2009| icon3Comments Off

I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day. My sweet husband bought me red roses and my favorite treat…Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups…Yum! He knows the way to my heart!

I made my Valentine some sugar cookies…

We officially celebrated on Friday night and went to Buca Di Beppo in Salt Lake. It was so nice to eat a meal without worrying about feeding another little mouth (my cute James). My parents watched him for us.

One of our main dishes…

Our yummy pizza.

And the best part of the entire night…

Stuffed mushrooms! Those of you who know me well, know that I LOVE mushrooms. This was our compromise: Andrew picked the two main dishes for us to share and I picked the appetizer. It doesn’t sound totally fair, but Andrew doesn’t care for mushrooms as much, so he wasn’t as excited. However, these mushrooms were so good that he even loved them.

Here he is devouring one.

And me…

What a fun night!!!

18 Months: Part II
icon1 admin | icon2 "Jamestown" (James) | icon4 02 12th, 2009| icon3Comments Off

Finally! Now that he is almost 19 months old…here are the rest of his 18-month pictures!

I just love this little boy so much! As much as I can get frustrated by his new obsession with sticking his hands and toys in the toilet, and his love for throwing his food across the room instead of eating it…he can put a smile on my face quicker than anything or anyone else. It’s hard to get frustrated for long.

He is learning so much and saying new words all the time. He’s been a “talker” for a while now–the only problem was that only he knew what he was saying. Now he is actually speaking English (along with his baby talk, of course). The other night when I was putting him to bed, I told him to fold his arms for prayers, which he does by clasping his hands together. Well, I thought it would be a good time to teach him to also close his eyes during the prayer. I said “James, close your eyes”; he paused for a second to think about it and then he covered his eyes with his hands. I tried really hard not to laugh. I was just happy he knew where his eyes were and that he knew to “cover” them up! I praised him for his effort and repressed the laugh until I left the room. He is too cute.

I love his face in this picture. He is sucking on his Jr. Mint.

Just a picture of him going after the bait. I’m going to miss that squat!

I wanted a picture of him with his cute hat on. He didn’t. So sad…

Then he decided the hat was fun and tried to put it on himself.

almost…
