baby's arms and head

He kept his arms in front of his face like this, and when we tried to get him to move, he flipped over completely.

So we got this shot. Still cute though.

And I’m measuring a week ahead! I measured small with James and he still came early. We may have an April baby (fingers crossed!).

I married you!

And I’m SO glad I did! When I think about how young and indecisive I was when we got married (maybe I’m still a little indecisive :) ), I’m amazed that choosing to marry you was the easiest decision I’ve ever made–and definitely the best!!! I love you! Happy anniversary!

A few weeks ago Andrew and James made a snowman. It was the first time James had ever really played in the snow, and he loved it! DSC_2696

James is saying “Cheeeeese!” in this picture…though his face shows no sign of smiling.

I look like I’m the one saying “cheese.” The pained look is because of the blinding sun. Ouch!

We gave him a face made of rocks, twiggy arms, and twiggy hair.

This picture isn’t very good, but you can definitely see the baby bump. This was two weeks ago (at 17 weeks).

My James

As I was getting ready for the day today, James was being his usual self—bumping into my legs as hard as he can, or holding onto my legs and leaning back until he falls. It’s a fun game for him but can be a little distracting and dangerous when your trying to straighten your hair or put on mascara—especially when pregnant.  I kept telling him he was going to make me fall and get ouchies. After asking him to stop twelve times, with my patience running low, I was about to ask him again to stop when I realized he was hugging my leg saying, “my mommy” over and over again. And then I felt so lucky to be his mom and so unworthy of having such a sweet boy for a son. I’m so blessed.
